Description:
State of Organic Seed (SOS) is an ongoing project of Organic Seed Alliance (OSA) to monitor organic seed systems in the U.S. Every five years, OSA releases this progress report and action plan for increasing the organic seed supply while fostering seed grower networks and policies that aim to decentralize power and ownership in seed systems. This report is an update to the research, production, and adoption of organic seed based on surveys and discussions from hundreds of stakeholders in the organic seed system. It provides summaries of these data, an interactive data website, and policy recommendations for the future of the organic standard.
