Description:
A nutrient management investigation in which participants work through realistic Manitowoc County farm scenarios and use the 4Rs of Nutrient Stewardship—Right Source, Right Rate, Right Time, and Right Place—to make management decisions. The activity incorporates soil tests, crop history, weather, karst and shallow bedrock, manure application, groundwater protection, and field conditions to show how site-specific information helps keep nutrients working for crops and out of water.
