Compiled into this document are 8 workshop plans and associated handouts and presentations. Topics include: Broiler Brooding and Rearing, Broiler Health and Nutrition, Broiler Marketing and Food Safety, Broiler Processing, Introduction to Mushroom Cultivation, Introduction to Raising Goats (farm tour), Introduction to Raising Pigs (farm tour), and Introduction to Beekeeping (farm tour). Workshops were created to meet the expressed needs of Providence Farm Collective's (PFC) diverse farmers. PFC's farmers are primarily from immigrant and refugee backgrounds and represent a wide range of languages, literacy levels, and educational backgrounds.
