Description:
UF/IFAS researchers are digging up solutions to nitrogen use in Southern Highbush Blueberries! Dr. Gerardo Nunez and his graduate student, Lauren Goldsby, built and placed observation boxes underground next to blueberry plant roots to investigate how nitrogen uptake varied depending on whether the plant was in the root period flush or not.
Funding for this research came from a USDA Southern SARE grant and the Florida Dept. of Agriculture and Consumer Services.
