The Butte Community Food Systems Assessment (CFSA) snapshot is formatted as an overview of input received from public meetings and coalition discussions about the community food system in Butte. The snapshot highlights both existing projects and programs, and interest from new partners for future collaboration. This snapshot is used by a trained CFSA assessor with the community stakeholders to guide decision making for creative food system development projects. The snapshot includes: (a) Abstract of each sector: production, processing/transformation, distribution, consumption, and waste/resource recovery; (b) Abstract for each key impact area: health, equity, education, policy, and community and economic development; (c) Snapshot of each tactic within the sectors; and (d) Votes: including on-line survey and facebook page; bullets include input from surveys and public input session.
