Julia Shanks consults with food and agricultural entrepreneurs to achieve financial and operational sustainability. Working with a range of beginning and established farmers, she provides technical assistance and business coaching that empowers them to launch, stabilize and grow their ventures. This is one of the powerpoints she created for the SARE funded program Building Farm Financial Management Skills. It was created for our second session of Year 3: Participants will learn how to assist farmers/producers to assess the financial health, market channel profitability, and calculate key metrics, including costs of production and breakeven levels.
