Description:
Wayne DeWall farms 640 acres of prime corn and soybean ground in southern Minnesota. As a participant in the Root River Field to Stream Partnership, he added prairie strips to its suite of conservation practices to help address water quality concerns. Alongside being effective at reducing nutrient runoff from his farm, the plethora of grasses and wildflowers brings the added benefit of pollinator habitat and aesthetic beauty to the farm.
