This report was funded by SARE and seeks to offer farmers like Beautiful Beard Grain Farm (BBGF) a chance to evaluate the economic opportunities of direct marketing grains, legumes, and oilseeds to an evolving local customer base. We specifically looked at early adopters of grains, legumes, and oilseeds in the midwest through a survey and focus groups, but insights gained will likely apply throughout the US.
