The guide emphasizes the importance of reporting and documenting losses, including photos, acreage data, and financial records, to support both disaster declarations and future aid eligibility. The guide also provides practical tips for recordkeeping, insurance awareness, and grant writing, along with a directory of state, regional, and national relief programs available to New England farmers, active as of Fall 2025.
