Description:
The gardener’s bane field bindweed, Convolvulus arvensis, is a perennial vining plant introduced to North America from the Mediterranean region in around 1739. In this video we will discuss this pesky invasive weed, control methods, and the current best classical biological control agent for use against field bindweed, Aceria malherba, the field bindweed galling mite. Topics will include identification, collection, sorting, release and what to expect from biological control.
