Materials included in section 7 (Matching Forage Quality with Animal Needs) of the Maryland Grazing School Manual distributed to participants who attended one of the grazing schools. This section included a presentation on matching forages with animal requirements by Dr. Sarah Potts, publications on BCS for beef cattle by Louisiana State University and Oklahoma State University, publications on BCS for ewes by the University of Kentucky, publications on BCS for horses by Virginia Tech and the University of Tennessee, and a publication on manure scoring by the Noble Foundation.
