Description:
The Hops Growers Toolkit is a comprehensive guide designed to assist aspiring and experienced hops farmers. It begins with advice on determining the best location for hops yards, factoring in climate, soil, and market opportunities. Farmers are guided through the process of establishing a reliable market before preparing their hops yards. The toolkit outlines the growth stages of hops, emphasizing their specific growing habits and needs, with detailed information on early spring pruning and training methods. Weed control and plant health management are addressed, along with an analysis of essential factors for successful cultivation. The toolkit also focuses on pest and disease identification and management, ensuring farmers can protect their crops. Harvesting and processing sections provide a thorough overview of harvesting techniques, drying hops, and conducting a comprehensive hops analysis, followed by proper storage techniques for dry hops.
