Description:
This is a web-based decision-support application that was developed to translate project findings into a practical tool for oyster farmers. Based on project results, the application uses oyster age and observed growth rates to project growth trajectories and estimate time to target size, without requiring real-time environmental data. This design prioritizes robustness, simplicity, and accessibility for farms without monitoring equipment. The application presents outputs in clear visual formats and is designed to be transferable to other oyster farms using data they already collect. Instructions are provided in the application.
Type:
Decision-making Tool
Target audiences:
Farmers/Ranchers; Researchers
This product is associated with the project "Developing Precision Oyster Farming Methods Using Environmental Data"
