Description:
Many producers are eligible to be a Qualified Facility (not required to do a full Preventive Controls for Human Foods plan) if the average annual monetary value of the food manufactured, processed, packed or held at such facility that is sold directly to qualified end-users exceeded the average annual monetary value of the food sold by such facility to all other purchasers. A qualified end-user is either (a) the consumer of the food or (b) a restaurant or retail food establishment that is located in the same state or the same Indian reservation as the farm or not more than 275 miles away. This spreadsheet can be used to keep record of all sales and confirm that at least 51% of sales each year were made to qualified end users - in case of an FDA audit.
