Description:
Producers Advisory Meeting (PAC) in North Mississippi Research & Extension Center (NMREC) in Verona. These meetings are for the university to listen to farmers, their priorities, and their needs in Extension and Research. Thanks to Extension Agent Ms. Lacy Faith Raines from Union County Extension Office and her father, and Mr. Jim Jill from SCKA Sheep Corner for contributing to the discussion.
We also had poster presentations, PhD student Kenisha Gordon presented part of her work under Dr. Derris Burnett and Dr. Shecoya White, working with goat meat patties (added value products).
Southern SARE table with information and free books was there for farmers, thanks to the SARE Program Assistant for MSSTATE, Ms. Libby Durst.
Producers don’t miss the PAC Meeting in North MS next year on the 3rd Thursday of February!
