Streams and streambanks are vital but vulnerable wildlife habitat. Learn the steps you can take to improve vegetation and water quality on your riparian property. These recommendations can help protect birds, fish and other species, while helping you follow the law. One of nine rural resource guidelines to help people living on rural land assess their land and resources, create goals and develop a stewardship plan. The Land Steward Rural Resource Guideline Series publications can be used individually as standalone resources, together to create a Do-It-Yourself stewardship plan, or as part of the Land Steward Curriculum.
