Description:
This presentation accompanies the article titled Neighbor Complaints: The Basics of North Carolina's Right to Farm and Bona Fide Farm Zoning extension research fact sheet on how farmers qualify for the exemption. The presentation was developed and delivered at professional conferences including the American Planning Association (NC/SC) chapter held is Charlotte in October 2025 (qualifying for continuing professional education credit for county and municipal planners. The presentations helps zoning officials better understand how farm operations qualify for the North Carolina exemption from zoning.
