Resulting from a consumer survey undertaken throughout New York, Vermont, Massachusetts and Maryland in the Summer of 2018, this toolkit provides a look at consumer perceptions of shopping at farmers markets. Ultimately, it looks a series of concepts, programs, services, practices and marketing strategies that will help markets to understand what consumers want in their shopping experience and build out their markets and farm businesses to achieve the desired experience consumers want.
