Description:
The Troendle-Meheen Farm is located in Allamakee County, Iowa. Located in the Driftless region of northwest Iowa, hills and trees are more prevalent in this section of the state, which can offer challenges when it comes to farming, namely, erosion. Prairie strips are a practice that has been introduced on the farm to help combat those erosion problems, in addition to the habitat they provide for animals and pollinators.
