Flies are a nuisance on poultry facilities, especially layer houses and can transmit pathogens that cause disease to humans and birds. In this video, the life cycle of major fly pests found on poultry facilities are described including description of life stages and factors influencing development. Understanding the life cycle of fly pests can help inform fly control measures that target specific life stages and improve the success of your IPM plan.
