Description:
Many growers value the importance of soil health but often lack the on-farm knowledge to act upon those results to improve soil conditions. Vinayak Shedekar, Ohio State University, explains an extensive project with 4 different farms and his team’s conclusions for reliable indicators of soil health, interpretation tips, and recommended actions. The research was done in cooperation with No-Till Innovator alums Jim Hoorman and Dave Brandt (also a No-Till Farmer Legend). Shedekar serves on the Board of the Ohio No-Till Council. You Will Learn: how key soil health and agronomic factors impact yields and water quality, and how to interpret soil health testing to implement actions.
