Has worked with trees and agroforestry since early ages growing up in a family of farmers in Puerto Rico. Studied a bachelor's in Horticulture and a master's in tropical agroforestry and a PhD in environmental science. Has experience in the private sector and in the research, education and extension programs of academic institutions.
