About
Lauren is a socio-economic researcher with over ten years of experience working on sustainable agriculture and natural resource governance. She studies the most impactful ways to support a transition to regenerative, diversified agriculture and resilient, localized food systems. She uses a range of quantitative and qualitative methods and analyses to understand key levers of change. She works in transdisciplinary teams of academics, non-governmental and farmer-focused organizations, and private sector professionals to ensure the research she leads is participatory, applied, and policy relevant. She is committed to public scholarship and research for impact by working with community partners throughout the research process, publishing without paywalls, and writing for public understanding.
