Dr. Brown was trained in vegetable breeding and genetics at the University of Minnesota and Oregon State University. She has been at URI since 2005. In addition to working on all aspects of vegetable production, Dr. Brown conducts research on cover crops, forage crops, and the use of grasses and forbs native to New England in low-input landscapes, particularly roadsides.
