About
Chuck was born in Cortez CO, grew up on a family homestead farm in Lewis and graduated from Montezuma-Cortez High School. He studied electrical engineering at the University of Colorado and then at Stanford University. His professional career was with Hewlett-Packard. Chuck and his wife MB returned to Southwest Colorado to become re-engaged in their home community. They are living on and restoring dryland farmland that his grandfather homesteaded more than 100 years ago. They have converted the farmland from traditional row-cropping to production of biomass for livestock forage and to enhance wildlife habitat. The land is being grazed in a rigorous regenerative fashion. Data are being taken to monitor soil quality improvements and biomass production.
