About
As part of a fairly new nonprofit ,ICANDO community development is committed to lift BIPOC marginalized communities ,with new avenues of agriculture awareness ,and sustainability through entrepreneurial education. Through their demonstration as new beginning farmers ,their primary program of South Side Family Farms utilizes Sustainable Organic practices to address fresh food access and food sovereignty. With goals of establishing food systems in their disadvantaged urban communities through agricultural information and reconnection to heritage farming , build a network that will supply agriculture revenue through ISA and CSA programs, donations to local food pantries and acceptance of SNAP and EBT benefits.
