About
Katie Turner is the Agricultural Program Manager for The Nature Conservancy’s Pennsylvania Chapter. Prior to joining TNC in late 2017, Katie gained experience in both the private and public sectors working at a conservation district and an environmental consulting firm. Her current work focuses on building partnerships with agribusiness to educate farmers on advanced nutrient management technologies. She received her B.S. from Penn State in Environmental Resource Management--Soil Science option and completed her honors thesis on the management of nitrate leaching. She also received her M.S. from the University of Delaware with a focus on phosphorus movement. She currently lives on a small farm in Landisburg with her husband.
For this proposal, Katie is submitting on behalf of the Mid Atlantic 4R Associaiton, a 501c3 umbrella organization that includes PA4R Alliance. TNC serves as a board member on both Mid-Atlantic 4R and the PA4R Alliance.
