About
Dr. Garcia is a lifelong beef producer who was raised on a cow calf operation in Torreon, NM. Dr. Garcia obtained his B.S. and M.S. from New Mexico State University, a PhD from Washington State University and an MBA from Portland State University. Dr. Garcia established a beef cattle genomics laboratory and managed the CRS research herd at LSU from 2009-2016. Dr. Garcia came to USU in 2016 as a beef specialist and beef cattle geneticist.
