About
Farm Experience: 30 years (combination of full and part-time) History of Farm Production: 236.6 acres of corm/soybean mono-rotations for the past 20 years. For the past 20 years the concrete, cattle feedlot has been occupied with approximately 150-200 head of cattle per year. The feedlot manure has been applied to the tillable ground. Cattle graze on corn stocks in the fall. The 24 acres of pasture is set up with three paddocks and is also grazed with approximately 1.5 head of cattle per acre in the late spring-summer-early fall periods. I have also engineered grass waterways on most erosion vulnerable drainage areas throughout my farm and seeded deep rooted grasses to slow runoff entry from cropped areas in the affected fields.
