About
I am a third year PhD candidate at Pennsylvania State University where I study Soil Science and Biogeochemistry. I have a Master's in Science in Biology from Appalachian State University, Boone, NC and a Bachelor's in Science degree from the University of North Carolina-Wilmington, Wilmington, NC. My research at Appalachian State University was focused on understanding the impacts that humans have on microbial communities in cave systems and how those impacts can have wide-ranging implications for ecosystem health and water quality. My current research is focused on understanding how farm management practices such as no-till, cover cropping, and diverse rotations impact microbial nitrogen cycling and crop nitrogen uptake.
