About
Faculty member at Penn State since 1999 with 30% teaching and 70% research appointments. I teach an upper-level undergraduate course in soil ecology and a graduate course in soil microbiology. I mentor graduate students in Soil Science and Ecology and coordinate the Biogeochemistry Dual Title PhD program. My soil microbiology group focuses on the study of nitrogen cycling in soils managed for improved resilience through reduced tillage, cover cropping, and organic amendments.
