About
Dr. Liang is an expert in Service Learning, Multifunctional Agriculture, Network Analysis, and Community Entrepreneurship. Dr. Liang has collaborated with over 100 multidisciplinary scholars, obtained funding for 40+ research projects as a PI or a Co-PI, presented 120+ papers in national and international conferences, conducted more than 100 workshops and symposiums, served as an Invited Speakers in over 70 meetings, authored 10+ books, published over 50 refereed journal articles and 20 technical reports, and authored-co-authored over 60 refereed Proceedings. Dr. Liang has taught 8,000+ students; advised 20+ Graduate students and 1,500+ Undergraduate students; and 14 of these students had received Outstanding Undergraduate Research Awards. Dr. Liang has engaged and supported over 4,000 K-12 schools, tech centers, community colleges, faith-based organizations, and others in promoting sustainability and food security. She has designed, developed, and implemented integrated research, teaching, and outreach programs in the subjects of entrepreneurship, multifunctional agriculture, and innovative strategies to support more than 50,000 producers, families, youth, and community organizations nationwide. Dr. Liang has developed, designed, and implemented the first Entrepreneurship curriculum in the College of Agriculture in the United States, focusing on creative strategies and sustainable business models. She also created and delivered Youth Leadership and Entrepreneurship Academy to offer trainings to K-12 teachers and students to support positive youth development.
