About

Shortly after graduating Unity College with a BS in Biology, Rachel While became the Program Director for Friends of Messalonskee, an environmental non-profit, combatting invasive aquatic species, cultivating relationships, educating the community, and fundraising. In the off- season, Rachel was a science teacher at a local charter high school. Currently, she is pursuing a PhD in Ecology & Environmental Science at the University of Maine at Orono studying wildlife and livestock relationships. Rachel and her husband operate a farm in central Maine raising sheep for fiber and meat.
