Virginia (Gina) earned a degree in engineering, then worked on several small farms before returning to graduate school to study agriculture. As a researcher, her goal is to use science to design sustainable cropping systems. She is currently pursuing a PhD, focusing on quantifying how cropping system diversity changes how soil resources are utilized.
