Whitney Beaman is a Sustainability Consultant to the New York Wine & Grape Foundation. Originally from Buffalo, NY, her home wine region is the Niagara Escarpment. Her journey through New York wine brought her to the Finger Lakes where she earned degrees in Viticulture and Enology and Food Science from Cornell University. This set her on the path to Long Island where she worked five harvests under Winemaker Rich Olsen-Harbich at Bedell Cellars before earning her M.S. in Sustainability Management from Columbia University. Whitney has dedicated her career to elevating New York wine and advancing cool climate, sustainable viticulture.
