About
Wesley Ramsey- Project leader - Executive Director of Penn Soil Resource Conservation and Development (RC&D) Council, a 501-c-3 charitable organization serving the residents of eight northwestern PA counties. Wes has served in that capacity from August of 2011 to date. Prior work experience includes more than 38 years of planning and managing conservation projects and programs with the USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS), US. Forest Service, US Geologic Survey, and PA Bureau of Forestry. Wes has also served as a Total Quality Management Facilitator for the USDA NRCS, serving as a problem solving facilitator on several national and regional task forces within his former agency. In his current position with Penn Soil RC&D, Wes provides technical and/or financial assistance to community groups who would like to do community improvement projects, but who may not have sufficient legal structure to conduct business or enter into contracts to procure necessary resources, services, and manpower to complete a project. The RC&D primary area of interest is in improving quality of life in four areas: Water Management, Agricultural Land Management, Forest Land Management, and Community Development.
