Summary:
Water quality concerns and the increasing costs of off-farm inputs provide encouraement for alterntive farming practices.
Objective: To aerially seed rye into standing corn and alsike clover into standing soybeans to alleviate soil erosionand provide green manure for crop nutrients and allelopathic mulch for weed control and mositure retention.
Results: Awaiting final report for data on yield, weed control and soil tests.
