Project Information

Summary:

Note to readers, attached is the complete final report for FNE93-027.

Although the project has had its problems I am convinced that what has been initiated here will be very positive for farmers. I will continue to improve the wetlands with spring seedings to develop adjacent wildlife habitat and interior plantings of aquatic species this summer.

As the wetlands develop vegetationally I feel there value as an educational tool will be realized. I have discussed several outreach programs for the next year with SCS and the Pennsylvania Association of Sustainable Agriculture. I also hope to instrument two of the wetlands #1 and #3 to determine their relative efficiency for pollutant removal and transformation.
