Summary:
Mr. Cicero planted four varieties of chestnut trees in March, 1995. He planted 25 trees each of Orrin, Armstrong, Eaton, and Sleeping Giant, on recommendation of the Nolin River Nut Tree Nursery. He was concerned about winter hardiness, but all 100 trees have survived so far. He stresses, though, that the last two winters have been especially mild in his area. He also wants to compare yields, but as of now (August, 1998) he has not yet had a harvest.
