    Proposal summary:

During the summer, greenhouses often go unused by many vegetable and bedding plant producers in the Northeast. This project will explore optimizing greenhouse space by using the hot summer greenhouse environment to grow culinary ginger root. Ginger rhizomes will be produced using bag culture, following Certified Naturally Grown procedures. Outreach will be through a bulletin, a farm tour, and conference session.
