This project will explore, test and evaluate options in beekeeping, making the most efficient use of non-renewable resources as an alternative to conventional beekeeping practices, specifically those practices utilizing wood-based frames with wax foundation in the bee hive. This project will provide solutions that incorporate innovative alternatives that reduce annual expenditures and labor-intensive practices to sustain the economic viability and enhance the quality of life for the beekeeper.
