    Proposal summary:

    In a previous SARE grant (FNC05-582), farmers in Indiana, Illinois, and Michigan performed formal trials testing flaming and organic herbicides for their effectiveness in killing weeds. This project (FNC06-609) is by the same group of farmers using these herbicides in actual field conditions to compare labor costs and weed control effectiveness.
