Hmong farmers in Minnesota have been observed by their Hmong peers overusing dangerous chemicals such as ammonium nitrate, herbicides and pesticides in their operations. Healthy and safe practices of using chemicals along with sustainable alternatives to chemical use will be spread among Hmong and immigrant farmers with a variety of personal contacts and media resources.
