2011 Annual Report for FNC10-799
Scaling Up Production by Improving Worker Comfort and Efficiency in No-till Organic Seed Garlic Production System
Summary
In Fall 2011, a group of senior Ag and Engineering students at Purdue University were planning to design and fabricate a garlic cart.
However, due to circumstance beyond my control the project wasn’t started.
Fortunately, a group of sophomore Ag and Engineering students were able to take on the project and we had a site visit before Christmas to discuss designs and specific need. Again, beyond my control the project never happened.
In early winter of 2012, a senior Ag and Engineering student needed an independent project and was assigned the garlic cart project. He has currently conducted a literature review that is available via pdf and will be constructing the cart in March 2012.
