Processing and Marketing Milk Produced on our Small Dairy Farm
Summary
Success and survival in the dairy industry need not be directly associated with increasing herd size.
Objectives: To profitably process and market quality milk, produced on a family farm, directly to consumers. The coordinator constructed small processign plant, purchased used processing bottling equipment, purchased a used delivery truck for door-to-door delivery, purchased coolers and display cases for on-site sales.
Results: The project was extended to allow completion of the processing plant, which will be operational in early 1999.
