    Proposal summary:

This project will compare the productivity of a vertical partition two-colony hive to a standard Langstroth hive. The farmer will also compare the overwintering survival rates associated with each hive design and keep track of the labor and inputs associated with each. The total profitability of the two different hives will then be compared.
