    Proposal summary:

Oyster diseases have had an effect on aquaculture in Delaware Bay. This project will harvest the spat of native, disease-resistant oysters and compare the survival and growth of native seed with seed acquired from lab-produced resistant stocks. The expense of these lab stocks has acted as a constraint on oyster aquaculture, and cheaper native seed will tend to boost profits and may encourage expansion of the oyster industry.
