    Proposal summary:

Research shows a negative correlation between prepubertal growth rate and lifetime milk production in sheep and cattle, a phenomenon that is poorly understood. The farmer will research this question and work with advisers to establish growth rates in ewe lambs that allow for reproductive efficiency without compromising lifetime milk production. Results will be distributed through Cooperative Extension and an industry magazine.
