    Proposal summary:

This project is a continuation of a previous grant, FNE01-369, which indicated that feeding browse to goats increases productivity compared to pasture alone. The goal is to see if the results hold up under another year of field conditions. The farmer will measure parasite loads and weight gain of kids on browse and pasture and analyze each forage type to learn their nutrient levels. Outreach will be through pasture walks and newsletter articles.
