Enhancing the Maryland Nursery Industry's Ability to Improve Water Quality and Increase Profit

Summary

Nutrient pollution from runoff is a major contributor to the decline of water quality. This project will investigate a plan to reduce the amount of nutrients entering local waterways by vegetating the entire surface of the nutrient-management ponds at a nursery. Outreach will be through a site tour, publications, and a web site.
